My Counselling Approach

My counselling approach is collaborative and integrative. The counselling therapy I provide is rooted in Attachment Theory, Trauma-informed therapy, Insight-oriented and Person Centred Therapy. I place importance on building trusting and strong relationships with my clients based on empathy, genuine care and no judgement. I firmly believe that a powerful and healing aspect of therapy resides in my ability to respect and encourage clients'’ independence and inner wisdom that tells them what works for them and what doesn’t. I support clients to reconnect with themselves and others and process parts of their history that are hard to digest. I see myself as a companion who can walk by your side while you lead the way at your own pace; offering you support, care, useful knowledge and a safe space to explore yourself.

I use a wide variety of counselling approaches depending on my client's needs, therapy goals and developmental stage.  Some of  the modalities I use in my practice involve:

*Person Centred Therapy

*Trauma Therapy

*Relational and Attachment Therapy

*Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

*Grief Therapy

*Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques

*Relaxation/Mindfulness and Coping Skill building techniques

*Child Centred Play Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy

*Parent Education and Support from an attachment-based perspective

*Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)

*Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy and Family Systems
